On March 26th, the vocal jazz took a bus down to Des Moines to compete in the 2019 State Vocal Jazz competition. Each year the schools that want a chance to compete can record an audition video and send it in to the state. Then in each class there are 8 schools chosen to compete in the state championship. The H-LP Vocal Jazz was selected again this year and went down to Des Moines where they placed 3rd in class 1A!

On March 27th, the seniors in both band and choir, along with the National Honor Society members, took a trip up to Chanhassen to watch the musical production of “Mamma Mia.” To be able to go on this senior trip, you must be a member of choir and/or band every year you possibly can in high school.
