Girls Basketball Update

The Lady Wolves are back on the hunt with the resuming of their season. On January third, the Lady Wolves played Clay Central Everly. At the end of the JV girls’ basketball game, the score was tied at fourteen. The Lady Wolves were only up by three points with two minutes left in the fourth quarter but pulled away once again. After a well fought battle, the varsity girls’ team won against CCE. The final score was 50 to 40.

The next game the Lady Wolves played was on Thursday, January fifth, against George Little Rock at home. George Little Rock is Coach Schoo’s home town and, knowing that, put more fuel on the fire. There was no JV girls’ game on this night. The varsity game score was 44 to 41.

The following day, Friday, January sixth, the Lady Wolves played against Gehlen Catholic. The final score of the game was 55-35. After winning this game, the Lady Wolves’ record for the season is currently at five wins and seven losses.

“I think we’re doing really well for being as young as we are,” said Taylor Meyer. “We’re coming together as a team in the back stretch of this season, which is really important. We have also improved so much since our first game against GT.” All of the girls are excited to keep our winning streak alive and are looking forward to the rest of the season.”
